WELCOME TO THE FRONTIER MIDDLE SCHOOL COUNSELING CENTER WEBSITE! LET US TELL YOU A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OURSELVES... The Frontier Middle School Counseling Center consists of four Counselors, one School Psychologist and one Social Worker. Each counselor works with one house (red, yellow, green, or blue), the Social Worker and School Psychologist work with students from all of the houses. The staff at the Counseling Center take a proactive approach to assist students in many areas such as: academic difficulties, behavioral issues, scheduling needs, conflict resolution/mediation, bully prevention, social skills, transitional periods, problems outside of school, career exploration, and high school planning. The School Social Worker provides confidential, individual and group counseling for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, teacher/parent consultation, and is an active participant in the Child Study Team. Within a safe and supportive environment, the School Social Worker helps students and their families navigate through adolescence and challenging life situations. The School Psychologist utilizes specialized training in both psychology and education to collaborate with parents, teachers, and other mental health professionals to create a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment. the School Psychologist is trained in mental health, child development, learning, behavior, and motivation. The Counseling Center also works in conjunction with parents and teachers to ensure the best possible learning environment for our students. Parents can call the Counseling Center at 926-1730x3005 for any general concerns, information regarding school programs and clubs, new student registration, help with parent/teacher communication, or outside counseling referrals.
