Welcome back to Pinehurst Elem. school
Our Kindergarten and First grades are going to be singing, moving and playing all kinds of neat rhythm instruments this year.
Our second graders will also be learning to read music and will explore playing from memory and improvising on bells and xylophones. We will also be using Orff Schulwerk instruments and techniques.
Our third, fourth and fifth graders will be playing guitars and recorders. We will explore blues and bluegrass, classical and rock.
This year I will be selling harmonicas in music class for $2. They are Hohner Harmonicas in the key of C. Any Pinehurst student may buy one as long as they learn a song on it and play it for me after they take it home. I want them to play the song for me with their eyes closed. I have enough harmonicas for them to buy one for anyone else too.
