•  Frontier Central  School District Appoints New Superintendent
    On behalf of the Frontier Central Board of Education, President Janet MacGregor Plarr is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Bret Apthorpe, as the District’s new Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1, 2014.  Dr. Apthorpe has a proven record of instructional leadership, fiscal management, commitment to excellence and ability to develop partnerships with parent groups, other educational institutions and the communities in which he has worked.


    Dr. Apthorpe brings 26 years of experience and is presently the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at the Fairport Central School District.  Previously, he was a Director of Technology for the FairportCentral School District and Director of Instructional Technology for Monroe 1BOCES.  He has also been a Senior High School Assistant Principal for Churchville-Chili Central School District and was a 7-12 Social Studies Teacher for 12 years at Southwestern CentralSchool District and Honeoye-Falls-Lima Central School District.  Dr. Apthorpe has been a Committee on Special Education Chair, Class and Club Advisor, Coach of six Varsity sports and leader of many positive school-culture related activities.  He is professionally widely spoken on21st Century Teaching and Learning, Student Learning Styles,assessments versus testing and contemporary literacy.


    Dr. Apthorpe was born and raised in Mayville, New York.  He attended the State University of Buffalo earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Education.  He attended the State University of New York College at Fredonia graduating with a Master of Science Degree in Elementary Reading. Dr. Apthorpe furthered his studies at the State University of New York College at Brockport acquiring a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration.  Finally, Dr.Apthorpe holds a Doctorate of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Rochester.


    Dr. Apthorpe stated “I have deep roots in Western New York and it is exciting to be part of the Frontier Central School District and community. This community embodies the highest ideals of Western New York in havinghigh expectations for educating the whole child.  I look forward to collaborating with all stakeholders inlaying out a positive future for our school district.”

    Frontier District Tax Code Number
    New York State Resident Income Tax Forms IT 200 and IT 201 require you to enter the name and code number of the public school district in which you resided, as of December 31 of the tax year.  Please note that the Code for Frontier is 210.

  • Lunch New Online Payment for Food Service
    Frontier will be using, a new service that allows you to prepay for your child's school breakfast, lunch and a la carte items online using your credit or debit card.  To enroll simply go to and click on Register for an Account.

    The portal can be accessed by parents of enrolled students.  Parents will see all children in their household, or students that are related by a guardian flagged relationship.  Students will also be given access to the Portal, but they will only be able to access their own information.   Parents and students will be able to view family demographics, attendance, grades, schedules and more.

     ALL parents must receive an activation code to use the parent portal.   To receive a code simply click on the link below and fill out a short form.

    Students do NOT need an activation code to see their own information.   Students for the first log-on use your student number (can be found on your report card) and the password is the student's Birthday in mmddyy format.
