    LITTLE CHEFS

Welcome to Mrs. McAndrew's Home Skills Class   (LIVING SKILLS INFO BELOW)

This  20 week program is the 6th grade level of the Family and Consumer Science program at Frontier Middle School. My goal is to give each child an opportunity to experience skills important for life. The class includes fun activities centered around cooking but also includes lessons in home safety/sanitation, resource management, global food awareness and so much more! You'll enjoy approximately 8 cooking labs-- including home made pizza!

We're not "just cooking & sewing"--be prepared to use those math and ELA skills you've been learning.

Experience working with a team and problem-solving!  You get to learn how do the dishes (smile), properly use home appliances (including the washer/dryer), sweep the floor, sew on a button and taste new foods.........

EACH STUDENT MUST HAVE A SIGNED ALLERGY INFORMATION SHEET ON FILE WITH ME BEFORE HE OR SHE MAY PARTICIPATE IN EATING/TASTING. THIS SHEET Will BE PROVIDED THE SECOND DAY OF CLASS AND MUST BE RETURNED A.S.A.P.

PLEASE ALSO BRING A POCKET FOLDER WITH PENCILS. THESE SUPPLIES WILL STAY IN ROOM 135 AND BE USED DAILY.
