Five will Represent Frontier at NYSSMA All-State on Dec. 1-2

Five Students Chosen for All-State, Two for All-East

The high school music department is pleased to announce that the following students will represent Frontier on December 1 to 2 at the New York State School Music Association Conference All-State music festival in Rochester.

They auditioned in the spring and competed against approximately 6,500 students from across the state. Of that number, only 900 students were chosen to be a part of the chorus, band, orchestra or jazz ensemble that will perform at the Eastman Theater the morning of Dec. 2.

To have five students chosen from our district demonstrates what phenomenally talented students we have at Frontier High School.

  • Leah Cocco - Bassoon, Symphonic Band
  • Matthew D'Orlando - Alto Sax, Symphonic Band
  • Lauren Koepell - Viola, Symphonic Orchestra
  • Ben Renzoni - Baritone Sax, Symphonic Band (alternate for Jazz Band)
  • Noah Webster - Timpani, Symphonic Band

In addition, two of these students have been further selected to represent New York state in the All-East conference held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in April. They were chosen from a pool of All-State Ensemble members from 11 Northeast states.  It is very difficult to have even one student chosen for this festival, so to have two, really demonstrates the level of ability and commitment from these students.

They are:
  • Noah Webster - Percussion, Symphonic Band
  • Ben Renzoni - Bari Sax, Jazz Band
